Should College Athletes Get Paid? - Answer The Question - College Athletes Should Get Paying

Should College Athletes Get Paid? - Answer The Question - College Athletes Should Get PayingDo you think college athletes should get paid? If so, how much should they get paid? The overwhelming majority of people would answer no to the question, but why is that? College sports are legal and everyone has the right to participate in sports in any way they want to. Everyone has the right to wear a team uniform, but does that mean that everyone gets paid?A lot of those who question the rights of college athletes and why they shouldn't get paid consider it unfair for someone who never has to show up at a game, participate in practice or a game to be paid for playing. Many people feel that college athletes are being forced to play at least one game per week, in order to earn a salary for their school. If someone is never even out on the field playing or practicing or getting any instruction from their coach, then they are certainly not a college athlete. People need to understand that if som eone is drafted or signed to a professional sports team, this will affect their ability to play in college or get a college scholarship. You can't make these players stay in college, because their career is on the line and that could mean a lot of money for them. The NCAA is making more money than ever by allowing athletes to stay at home and not play, which is sad. The truth is that college athletes are lucky to be able to play sports and the only ones that are making money are the coaches and college athletic directors. If an athlete were to not play sports, there would be far less money coming to college athletes. Many coaches argue that college athletes should get paid, but why not offer them more money? College sports should get paid in order to keep those players at the school and athletes not participating. It's hard to answer the question of how much college athletes should get paid, because they would have to be well compensated for their work. Some schools offer scholarships to athletes for their entire four years, but these scholarships should be for much more than just four years. Many sports are not worth the price of admission and college athletes are not as important as a few players.
